Just a quick post to share how happy I am that the second Adam Khoo Learning Centre has opened in BSD, Jakarta Indonesia. Our goal is to open 30 centres over the next 5 years to reach out to as many Indonesian students as possible. We believe that with our unique accelerated learning techniques, powerful English & Math and curriculum (developed by top Singaporean teachers/researchers) as well as a team of highly qualified and passionate teachers, we can help Indonesian students develop a high standard in English and Math. This way they can compete globally and enter the top universities of the world.

With Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group and our two Adam Khoo Learning Centres, we have trained over 8,000 students over the last 5 years and we look forward to continue to empower even more students in Indonesia. A big thank you to Fredrick Tan, Managing Director of Adam Khoo Learning Centre for growing the Adam Khoo Centre franchise so successfully and a big thank you to Susan Hartawan, Managing Director of Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group (Indonesia) and also to Patrick Cheo, Group CEO of Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group. Most of all, thank you to all the wonderful parents and students of Indonesia for supporting us these 5 years.

For those of you who may not be aware, Adam Khoo Learning Centre (AKLC) is a totally separate company from Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group (AKLTG). AKLTG has been successfully running seminars and training programs in 8 Indonesian cities for the last 4 years. We have trained over 8,000 participants through our I Am Gifted Indonesia holiday camp!, Wealth Academy Programmes and the Patterns of Excellence programmes. In addition, we also run corporate training programmes for Indonesian MNCs like Bank Danamon, Indonesia.

AKLC is a learning centre that specializes in training students (aged 7-19) to master English and Maths through our weekly tutorials that utilize cutting-edge whole brain, accelerated 21st century learning techniques. For the last 6 years, AKLC has built a strong reputation in Singapore, helping students to excel in their English and Math Exams (PSLE and O Levels). Its success has led us to offer this powerful business model to entrepreneurs who would like to take up our winning franchise.

On the 8 of December, AKLC opened up its master franchise flagship centre in Jakarta and already, we have a waiting list of 200 students enrolling for the new year. I would like top congratulate our franchise business partners in Indonesia for a job well done. They have a vision to open 24 AKLC centres in Indonesia in the next 5 years and I believe many students will benefit immensely from this! At AKLC, we aim to prepare students for the 21st Century Global Economy by giving them a strong foundation in English and Math as well as equipping them with invaluable lifeskills such as critical thinking, problem solving, creativity and innovation. Most importantly, a love for learning and the skills of learning how to learn!

Over the last few years, we have also established a leading presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangkok and Hong Kong. If there has been a key success factor to our overseas expansion, it has been that we have had GREAT PARTNERS! Without their amazing passion, commitment and love that have put into the business, we would not have been able to achieve all this.

Now, I am very happy to announce that our latest new market is Vietnam. I believe that the education and business market for Vietnam has got tremendous potential and I am very excited with the positive impact we can make to the lives of the Vietnamese people. It is a country I have tremendous respect for. Vietnam is made up of many young people who are eager to learn, hardworking and hungry for success. By sharing with them the cutting edge strategies in learning technologies, investing and the psychology of success, I believe that we can help many Vietnamese become top students, future leaders and multi-millionaires.

I have been given this great opportunity to expand into Vietnam because of my very dynamic, driven and charismatic partner, Kenny Tran.

Kenny is a Vietnamese who has been working in Holiday Camp Singapore for a few years. After attending my Patterns of Excellence and Wealth Academy program, Kenny got inspired bring back and share our powerful teachings to his home country.

About two years ago, Kenny translated my books, ‘I Am Gifted, So Are You!’, ‘Master Your Mind, Design Your Destiny’ and ‘Nurturing the Winner & Genius in Your Child’ into Vietnamese.

Our small students to teacher ratios ensures every child gets the attention they deserve

Conveniently located at Novena Square and Tampines Street 11, AKLC has become one of the most sought-after English and Math learning centres in Singapore. For the recent PSLE Exams (2008), We recorded one of the HIGHEST PROPORTIONS of students scoring ‘A’s and ‘A stars’ among other established learning centres.

Unlike other learning centres who reject ‘lousy students’ and only take in good students, we believe in giving EVERY child a chance, regardless of how he/she has performed in the past. On of our recent students, Timothy got ‘25 marks’ for his Math Prelims and was told by his teacher that he would DEFINITELY FAIL his PSLE Math. On Sunday, I was up in Bangkok to run our first ever introductory school workshop for the ‘IAG Junior‘, ‘IAG Senior‘ and ‘IAG Foundation‘ programs in Thailand. After so many Thais have sent their children all the way to Singapore to attend our life transformational kids camps, I figured that it was time to open up a permanent office in Bangkok.

Together with me was our Lady Thai Trainer Varoon Charastrakul (also known as ‘Tim’). Here is an inspirational story that I would like to share with you about Tim. Tim was one of the top students in Thailand when she won a scholarship to study Engineering in Singapore at NTU (Nanyang Technological Institute) four years ago.

When she first started studying in NTU, she started struggling in her subjects because of her poor command of her English language. She hated English and believed that she could never score As in her subjects because of her handicap in English and that there was no way she could compete with her counterparts in Singapore.

That was when she enrolled in my PATTERNS OF EXCELLENCE PROGRAM (POE) three years ago. By the way, she worked and saved the $2000+ course fees on her own, not a small amount for a foreign student! During the POE program, she learnt about the power of beliefs and techniques on how to model the strategies of accelerated school learning.

Two years later, she graduated with a FIRST CLASS HONOURS DEGREE in Engineering from NTU. She was then offered a job by one of the top consulting firms in the region for $4,000+ a month. After working for less than a year, she decided to quit her job and join ADAM KHOO EDUCATION GROUP full time because she wanted to fulfill her dream and passion for students training to also achieve their fullest potential. I am very proud to have her on my team.

This is part of our mission and strategy of bringing our programs to the heartlands of Singapore. We are aiming to open 2-3 more centres every year all over the island so that every student can benefit from our life changing courses.

Ingvill (who came all the way from Norway) graduated from my Patterns of Excellence program and decided to make a massive difference in her life and the lives of disadvantaged children around the world-starting from Cambodia.

Her aim is to empower as many orphans as possible to get into university and break the poverty cycle! Thank you for helping the Adam Khoo Education Foundation to reach out to these children!

At the University where every class would have 50-100 students.

The students preparing to start at the University after summer, were equally keen to be well prepared.

Ingvill had them read up paragraphs in order to qualify for the books, and they did quite well in reading. Whether their comprehension was just as deep remains to be seen.
