i got a few question to ask if Mr.Adam do not mind answering.
Thank you.
Hi Adam,
I understand that you have investments in the US market, I too, have considerable investments in US stocks, in fact, it accounts for more than half of my portfolio of investments. My question is – how do you feel about the falling dollar and do you think it has a significant impact on your investments? And also, have you done anything different in the way you invest to counter this decline?
Thank you for your time

Good Evening Adam,

Hi Adam,
I believe thousands had asked you to personally coach them in investments and strategies and what I am hoping is not to be in that thousands! Sincerely, hope you can be a personal mentor to teaching me how to invest in stocks correctly. I have read your books and I am also very into Buffet theories, but the bad point about me is that I am able to register all theories, but to apply technically it just never got through the way how you intelligently conveyed in your books. Please help me – can we communicate via email?

Hi Adam,
I first had a chance to listen to your talk at Great Eastern building yesterday. 24-Jun.
I really admire the inspiration you can give for someone to focus on his goals. Its probably as relevant for personal life as for business.
However, I think there is a little assumption there on why businesses over 5 years fail, when you say they do not change strategy and innovate.
With the all-around innovation push from the government even, bosses of big/small companies are aware that change is necessary. But there are some issues really beyond control, depending on the nature of the business.
That is competition. How easily copycats can catch up. This can seriously bring down prices and thus profit margins. Eventually whether the business is still viable.
For your case, Adam, I think the book you wrote many years ago, I am gifted so are you, still remains pivotal in many of your current workshops. Even though you probably have fine-tuned the workshops over time, what really matters is that its difficult for someone else to publish something original of equal quality. Thats a huge barrier of entry to competition.
In the years of lack of quality competition locally, you have capitalised on time to groom good trainers. So much so that even if you do not change a single strategy today, your business will run easily for years. In other words, anyone can run your business profitably at this point for at least X years.
In a business where there is lack of competition & even an idiot can run it, is the best business, even legendary investor Warren Buffet is interested in. Adam, its time to go public. Many like minded people want a share in your venture.
Hi GS Gill
Thank you for your kind compliments and your confidence in my abilities. The truth is that I have and will always continue to innovate and make my programs better and better. In fact the workshop I run for kids next year will be much better than the one I run today
There have been many competitors who have tried very hard to copy me over the years. The reason they have failed is because I have kept one step ahead of them. The reason a business fails is because their product/strategy is not innovatively unique or different. Sameness kills!
Hi,
Adam I leaved in UK. I been to your website and would like to get one of your books titled ‘The Secrets of self-made millionaires.’How much and how can I pay you?

Hi Mr Khoo..
I’m currently a sec4 student from Geylang Methodist School(Secondary). I had attended the ” I am gifted, so are you” workshop in january at my school. It was only a 1-day workshop for my cohort then. The workshop was great though, and the trainer, Leroy, was fantastic as well.
But i do really want to know more about academic skills, especially my o level’s is approaching. And my results are kind of dropping slightly.
Also, i have read one of your books, the “Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires”, and a book written by Robert T. Kiyosaki, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”.It’s not that i’m money-faced or anything, it’s just that i want to fulfil some of my dreams within this 5 years. So is there anything that i can do to increase my income, other than an online business, even if i have a part-time job after sec4 graduation?
Thanks for the time.

Hi Adam, I hope you can help me because I’m extremely clueless about your products. You see, I’m also a underachiever, have poor social skills, leadership skill, no motivation, lack of passion for life and fear of the future, but I don’t know which of your books/products will help me attain all the things I’ve ever desired. I’m leaning towards Master you Mind, but your other programs look also good, but which one do you think will give me the best results in personal development? how can I get a coach fro me in Mexico? I have to say that for now I’m not interested at all in wealth, I just want to be happy and know that I the confidence to get anything I want.
I hope you can help me. Thank you.
By the way, my mail’s gabrielgutz@hotmail.com
Hope to recive an answer!
Hello Adam, just a quick question. I am currently re reading your book “Secrets of Self-made Millionaires”, and I would like to ask how relevant this book is in light of the current financial global crisis?
Hi Adam,
I’m a mother of two incredible boys. My elder is a great “gifted” one, according to his IQ score n shows many amazing, deep, but “unusual” way of thinking. He’s just fine at school, but never want to show his best. I found it as underachiement, because in some occasions he can show his great skill in music and sports. I try to find a way to help him out to be more “be in his shoes” so he may be more confident in expressing himself. How I should manage him as a “friendly mother”, so he won’t feel that I push him to much. Thank you. Hope can get your answer soon.
One thing that all young people (especially intelligent ones) hate is to be told what to do. When we appear to be nagging or lecturing, the opposite reaction tends to happen. By agreeing with us, they are admitting that we are smarter than they are.
The key is to introduce role models (in a very indirect way) and keep encouraging and praising them when they put in their very best. Young people get inspired by role models.
Hello, Mr.Adam.

I happen to work for a frugal self made millionaire whom is a classic example on how they behave and invest their money. Your book desribes them exactly just that! If he can do it, so can I, maybe better, because I have your books.
One thing that puzzled me is that you omitted investment strategy on property in your book (Self Made Millionaire). You smell the subprime crisis back in 2006 or? Anyway, I hope you could write a book for Singaporeans wanting to buy their first flat or property, you should warn them about the loan and interest and replayment period. These factors cripple their ability of using their CPF funds to invest for better returns. Done correctly the purchase of brand new 3 and 4 room flats could rake in over 100K for Singaporeans.
Eager to read more of your books soon.

As a 20 year old student. I agree with everything that you say. I was a rebellious child when i was young and never was closed to any members of my family. I’ve change because of you. I am inspired by you Adam, i’ve always looked up to you. I am very lucky i stumble upon you when i looked up for NLP. Otherwise i won’t what will happen to me right now. With your books and downloaded mp3 or POE from you. It motivated me and changed who i am now.
My friends told me that i’ve changed and i never plan to stop there. I’ll continue to change myself to reach my target and goals that i’ve set for myself.
My short term future goals
One of my future goals is to save my own money, attend your 3 hour preview of POE and join your POE seminar in 2009. I plan to earn my own money to attend that seminar.
I read with great intrest about your successful lifestory. Im currently pursuing a commerce degree at university.I have not been performing well academically. The thing about me is that i am motivated one moment and excel in the things i do. But the next minute,i lose that motivation and momentum and therefore tend to give up things easily. Most of the time, i start a particular academic subject/ activity with a bang but half way i lose that momentum, and give up very easily
I would like to know how do i sustain and maintain that high energy and momentum from the time from the time i start learning about a new subject/activity, striving to get quality (distinction) grades in my academic work.
My email is nairbecks@hotmail.com. Your reply will be greatly appreciated.
Hey Mr. Khoo
I am from Kolkata, India.
I do not know your e-mail. I recently read a blog post of yours on an Indian Actors Blog. his name is Amitabh Bachchan. it was about ur perspective of money and how one should value it. i completely liked the way u replied to the person who was rather shocked to see u in economy class, because that was the reason ur still a millionaire. please dont mind me using short text for writing this reply because i consider you quite young and a perfect role-model for me.
i also read that u too were sort of weak at ur studies but then u made it with some determination and stuff.
i really wanna do the same.
but i dont know how?
i was good at my studies before the 8th grade which was when i started getting bad results. in the 10th grade, i had to give a huge board exam which is quite necessary for getting into good colleges, i thankfully scored an 84% in that. but i dont want just that much in my 12th level, because the results of my 12th level board exam will decide where ill be going for college.
my primary aim is to go for NUS, SMU, SIM in singapore. i dont want to join some college with my father’s money paid as donations so that i can get in some good college. My father’s a respectable man in the city and he’s got good sources. but he’s also teaching me that consider that ur father doesnt have good sources in good colleges. that means i will hav to score good. i dont wanna be content with just an 85% in my 12th level board exam too mr. adam.
please please help.
i am truly inspired by you. and i would love to attend one of ur “i am gifted camps”. but im in India.
anytime you come to India, please make it announced in your blog or somewhere so that i can know and ill be really obliged to meet you. thank you sir. i know this is asking for a lot, but i hope u heed to my request.
Hi Adam!
Just heard your name for the first time from my favourite Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan’s blog, where someone sent him a blog you had written. I read that and then came to your website now. People like you are my inspiration.
Will look out for your books in the bookshops here or else try to buy it online. Will also go through your website in detail from now.
Can I get some tips from you to my own questions? I shall put them to you sometime. Regards, Deepak Nair, Muscat, Oman
Hi Mr. Khoo.
I am situated in Jakarta, Indonesia, and I am 13 years old in an international school. I have read three of your books: “I am Gifted, So Are You,” “Master Your Mind, Master Your Destiny,” and “Nurturing the Winner and Genius In Your Child.” (<- A little early for me to read, don’t you think? Ha ha.) In school, many of my peers and friends think that I am a ‘genius’ and a ‘child prodigy’ because I always end up scoring high on tests, and everything else. To be honest, I don’t really work or put much effort into my classwork… and I still turn out fine. Even after reading those three books, I find that I have a large lack of motivation that holds back my full potential to succeed. As I did very well in my last school year as well (only one B), I feel the expectations of my friends and parents weighing down on me. I am afraid to let them down, but I don’t think I can keep this up much longer. My grades are already slipping slightly, so my parents tell me. I am one year before high school (secondary 3) and I’m feeling pressured to do better because it is my goal to make it into a great university where I can further my education. In my current predicament, I am starting to really doubt myself; also as a person. I am feeling really lost right now. This seems irrelevant, but I also planned to begin running so I can get fitter. I am also unable to follow and stick to a goal I set for myself. What should I do?
Hi Adam,
Was quite impressed after reading your blogs. Some of your views are quite thought provoking, but at the same time it actually confuses me.I have some quetions for you and it would be helpful if you can answer them.
Q No.1.Is it right for one to not spend much on stuffs which gives us momentary pleasures, say for instance a branded watch or a branded car, considering the fact the happiness wont last for long?
Q No.2.In your process of becoming a millionaire, did you ever intended to help some body really in need beyond your means? And if some body does at all,is it good or bad according to you?
I will be waiting eagerly for your reply.
There is nothing wrong in spending money to enjoy yourself. The only thing is to spend much less than you earn and to understand that your main joy in life should come from things that money cannot buy i.e. helping people, connecting with your family, having passion in your chosen career.
hi adam,
i’ve been through your “i am gifted, so are you” workshop during my secondary school days and part of the experience during the workshop has impacted me even till today.(which has been about 3 years)
I would like to learn from you, to learn how to create similar results and help people of various groups. Besides, are there any other ways in which I can learn more about NLP in Singapore?
I hope to hear from you soon and are there other ways to contact you directly eg. via e-mail.
Hi Adam, I have enjoyed your seminar. Just few questions:
1. Is it safe to buy DBS shares now at below $10 and do cost averaging if it goes down further?
2. Do you have the historical charts of STI ETF for the last 5 or 7 years or when ETF is available?
3. I am a conservative investor. If I have 3-4m to invest and want steady, passive income for my retirement, is it okay to buy properties for rental income? Should I pay all by cash? When is a good time to buy? You did not cover property investment in your seminar, I noticed.
Thanks
Hi Adam
Is it time to pick a basket of stocks like SIA, SGX, Venture, CityDev and DBS in various sectors. And wait for market to rebound?
Thanks

Presently I have sent to info@akltg.com and hope you can take a look at it since I am unable to find a way to reach you. Your help is most appreciated.

All I can say is a big WOW! WOW! WOW!
I’m turning 26 already next year. I might be a peso-millionaire but not a dollar-millionaire.
You are very inspiring man! I salute young self-made millionaires! I hope I can mimic your success in some way or another.
Congratulations!
Hi Mr.Adam Khoo
I have heard alot about you and read too. I have to say that i am really very impressed with the way you have managed to accomplish your goals in life. Just like you, i am an aspirant too. I want to be the best in what i am doing. Best in all situations, best in all solutions and the best in my field. To meet you or to work with you will be one of my “dream come true” situations. Hi Solomon
How can I help?
Hi Adam, I searched all over your website for an email address to write to you but it seems this is the only means. Nevermind if the whole world sees this, it’s only meant for you anyway. Adam, both my sons have attended your programs in Secondary and Primary school and have benefitted greatly from them. I like your ideas, probably because I too have similar and firm beliefs – like affirmation, hugs, communication etc, being a certified Infant Massage Instructor and Massage in Schools Program Instructor myself. While I am still constantly learning from the experts, I also train and motivate my teams in one of the oldest and strongest Network Marketing company. Speaking of Network Marketing, according to my son in Secondary school, he says that your trainer told them it’s not the business to be in!! I sure had some explaining to do that evening!! Anyway, my reason in writing to you is to express a keen interest in joining your team of trainers. With a positive attitude and mindset and the training I’m sure you will provide, I’m certain I will be able to contribute to your team of dynamic and excited trainers. My experience includes 10 years of Insurance sales and marketing with one of the top Insurers in the world. It is because I know you believe in opportunities and being brave to go out and grab them that I am writing to you!
Dear Mr Adam
Thank you very much .
I have read “I Am Gifted, So Are You” …
And Now , i will …… oh no , i want success !
Best wish for your family !
Hi Adam!
I have read your book “Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires” and am very impressed by the techniques that you teach. However, I have one question regarding drop shipping. If it is really so easy and require so little capital, then why isn’t it a perfectly competitive market already and thus eroding all profits? Are there many drop-shippers in Singapore?
Hello, I bought pretty much all your audio and ebooks. However, I am not quite sure where to start. Any suggestion as to which books to read first/CDs to listen to first? Thank you. Kind Regards
Read and listen to whatever interests you first! You do not have to go into any specific order
Dear Adam, I think you are brilliant and of course focused. I have a question to ask you. This is because I am going through the entire book of yours…’secrets of a self…’ I am doing the entire book with all the exercises. I believe that I have enough talent to become a millionaire. I have done a lot of training… communication skill, behaviour and body language is my forte. I completely accept the fact that if you can delegate routine work to someone that frees you from menial ‘jobs’ so that you can focus on training much more. My question is simple, how can you get more training programmes? I have tried to increase the amount of training programmes i do but I have not been able to do more than 1 or 2 per month. I would definitely get someone to do smaller jobs if I could increase my training. If I am looking at a website or other marketing techniques, I have to spend an amount which at present I cannot afford. I am not really sure what is happening? I have got fantastic feedback from the delegates who have attended my programmes. Please help.
PS (I want you to check out my brief resume and you will know why I have this question)
Regards
A great fan
Abhijit
Adam: I should get a hold of one of your books. If there is one book of yours that I should have, which one would you recommend? I am sure each one is inspiring and full of brilliant philosophies, but I just want one that is most comprehensive and most helpful. Thanks.
I am trying options programs, investment property, internet marketing. Things are slow and I am enjoying the learning process but I am 26 now! And I am not a millionaire! Please mail me I am hoping to interview you for lifemonies.com and more than happy do a write up on your many ebooks.
I wish you success on becoming a billionaire!

thanks adam.
hi adam you are soo cool
I’m read your book &I think you are a great man!
Hi Adam , this is ubin from bangkok , was in singapore just a week back , and picked up 2 of your books in the bookstore( Profit from the panic & Secrets of Self Made Millionare) , i had never heard about you and your sucess before , i must say these books look absolutely fantastic and am on my way finishing these 2 books in a few days, however , i would suggest you to look at the proof reading aspect of your books a bit more seriously , i am not an english expert , yet still i have found and highlighted some spelling errors , grammer defects and some sentences that looked like a ” Copy and Paste” action from other sources . i am not saying this to point a finger , but as you have said in your book the Winner’s Mindset is ” ALL ABOUT EXCEEDING EXPECTATION” , these small issues really makes a difference….
Hi Adam Khoo,
Is there such thing as a born loser?
What happen if your mother did not send you to the inspirational training camp at your childhood?
Would things be different? Would you still discover your potential or find your way to success? or still remain fearful of studies and unmotivated in life.
Could things had been different for you? Is it your own choice to be successful or attending the inspirational camp that changed you?
Hi Adam
I have only come to find about about you recently through a wealth website. I find your story remarkable and interesting. It is nice to see a young successful oriental asian hit the headlines and take some focus off Billionaire Li Ka Shing from Hong Kong. Like many people here and in the world, I too want to create wealth. But it aint easy. I will consider buying one of your books to complement my library. I would also like to communicate with you. People on here have mentioned your email. What is your email? I hope we can talk soon.
u r the coolest and the most charmiest man I ever know.

Hi Adam
I have recently read your 2007 publication – Secrets of Millionaire Investors – and I do like it alot as it’s a simple guide to a novice investor (just graduated from Uni and going into my first job).
I would like to attain a hard copy of the book but realize that i can’t find it anywhere in the major bookstores. I know your other titles are available though. May I know how i may be able to get a copy? Am more interested in an actual hard copy than an e-book. Thanks!
Cheers
Wini
Hi adam,
I am from indonesia, bali to be exact. I’ve juz recently purchased one of your books, Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires which is already translated into indonesian language, and there is one website which u’ve suggested us to look into, http://www.adam-khoo/bizandmoneytips.html to get the free business and money making downloads software or program but the webpage is not found
I’ve finished reading your book already and I am very interested in the whole content of the book, especially the last few chapters from chapter 13 to 20, so I was wondering where or which website can i get the free business and money making downloads?
Thank you.
Hi Wini. The Hard copies are available only in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia at the moment. If you are living somewhere else, you can order it direct from my Singapore office. You can call Chris at 65-62740105 or email chris@akltg.com

Dear Adam,
My name is Nur Sabrena and I am the younger sister of Fareez Keegan, one of you former students who attended your recent ‘I am Gifted, So Are You!’ Senior Camp this year. I am very happy and pleased that he enjoyed the camp; it seemed like so much fun. However, I did not get to attend your Junior Camp.
Not to forget the most important part, my brother also passed on his knowledge that he learned from you. I find your classes all very interesting, so my parents have decided to send me for the Senior Camp when I’m in Secondary One, which is in two more years. I am very excited and I cannot wait!
When I attended your talk previously, I learned a lot from your wise words. When I am reading your books, the part which I like the most is when you tell stories which have moral values in it. During the last session of my brother’s Senior Camp, there were books on sale. My mother allowed me to buy one of Teo Aik Cher’s books about achieving success, while my she bought a book written by Gary Lee and yourself, the amazing Adam Khoo. Even before I finished reading Teo Aik Cher’s book, I had already started on your book as I was attracted to its content when I read the summary at the back, even thought I knew that it was meant for parents!
On top of that, I sincerely hope that you would take me in as one of your junior coaches, even though I have not attended any of your camps so far. My parents have been wishing for this day to come where I would be standing there on the stage, knowing that I have gained something new from my experiences. I think that it would be a fruitful and wonderful experience for me to be an assistant coach! Please do think about it.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Please write back,
Nur Sabrena.
I will be launching it in the next 2-3 months
I look forward to seeing you in the future camps Nur. However, to be a coach, you have to first come as a participant
Dear Adam Khoo,
Thank you for your inspiring messages.
Yours Sincerely,
Lum

Dear Adam,
Thank you for your reply. QuestNet is an international direct selling company that utilises the power of network marketing combined with e-commerce.
First, I want to thank you for your books and online readable reports. But I wonder if I am too late to catch the train since I am almost nearing my 40′s. I know to realize a dream it’s never too late. So I thank you from my heart!

To be motivated to study, you must set a very exciting goal for yourself. As study towards that goal. Which university do you want to enter? What life do you want to have in the future? How much money do you want to earn? What house do you want to own? What career do you want to have?
To get along with your parents, see things from their point of view. So things without being told. Say thank you and please
What you need are the right learning strategies and exam preparation techniques. I suggest you take a course on it or read ‘I Am Gifted, So Are You!’ which I wrote. You can buy it on amazon.com
Hi Adam,

It does not matter how many time you have failed in the past. If you are prepared to study very hard and to learn the right study strategies, you can achieve success in whatever you take. You can definitely do well for your O levels and get into poly if you put your best into it. You may want to read my book ‘I Am Gifted, So Are You! to learn how to be a good student or even attend my I Am Gifted programmes in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia etc…

Hey Mr Adam! I like your latest post, maybe i shall say i love it so much! I told my dad about your life, surprisingly he was from the same college as you. Anyway, thank you so much for boosting my self- esteem! Hope to see you soon, perhaps.. in the business field =) looking forward for your reply.
Hello Adam
I was unaware of your existence until today, thanks to an e-mail from my friend I came to know of you. The article which my friend mailed was of frugality of millionaires. Being a practical thinker I am impressed with your realistic insight.
I googled you and read your article “The Expats will rule Singapore”. Its very true that when you give all the necessities of life for granted and that too on a luxurious scale, the driving force to acheive the same, to fight for it is taken away. The descendants of the same fighters are now lethargic and unmotivated.
The phenomenon you speak of is prevasive here in India as well. People demand something which they have not earned yet. They have forgotten that to ask for something they need to deserve it. Such people measure success not in terms of quality of work but by the purchasing power.
I would like to attend your seminar someday. And, if u can please do conduct a seminar in India as well.
Hello Adam,
Currently, i am working on a report which requires me to interview a successful entrepreneur. So is it ok if i do a interview with you over here ?
What do you think are the necessary elements for a business venture to succeed ?
What are the three important lessons that you learn about business and entrepreneurship so far ?
Can you describe some of the biggest challenges or obstacles that you encountered as an entrepreneur? And how you overcome them ?
What are the best and worst things about being an entrepreneur?
What advice would you give to an aspiring young entrepreneur ?
I will really appreciation if you accept my interview. U can reply mi here or email me. Thank You
Hi Mary, the answers to all your questions can be found in a book I wrote entitled, ‘Secrets of Building Multi-Million Dollar Businesses’. You can also find answers to these similar questions in interviews I have done with newspaper articles you can read in the section ‘About Adam Khoo’

hi, adam. I’m one of the participants of IAGJ 2009 in Jakarta, Indonesia. I want to ask some questions to you.
1. About your “CONGRATULATIONS” letter. The letter said that I have to finish all the stuff in 36 hours. But, I’m not at home yet, till 2010. I have already opened the letter. What should I do?
2. I want to be a coach in IAGJ 2010. Is there any revision for the audition?
3. Do you open your Facebook? Because it’s easier for me to ask you via Facebook
Thanks, adam. Reply please.
Hi. In that case, wait till you get home and start doing the 36 hour action plan. To be a coach, send me an email and you have to attend coach training and selction. Best if you email me to my direct email address
Hi Adam
How to instill hunger in a person ? How to make him want to work extra mile ? I have read many self help books and have knowledges a plenty but I seem can’t be able to apply what I have read into real life. In real life ,I am always affected by external events , people and all what I have read will be throw out of my mind once I met real life events. My life is in a big mess and I can’t seem able to overturn my life into positive.I am in debt , divorce ( cheated by my China wife)and approaching 50 years old.I am always more depress than happy and more negative than positive and hopeless in dealing with people.
Can you suggests ways so that I can help myself ?
Regards
Peter, the reason you are experiencing difficulty in controlling and directing your thoughts, emotions and behaviours is because over the years, you may have been conditioned (i.e. programmed) with negative neurological patterns of depression, hopelessness and negativity. All this programming has been a result of negative input from others and your own negative self talk. The good news is that the past does not determine the future. No matter how bad the past has been, today, this moment is a new opportunity to redesign the destiny and future you want. Every recession will end. All bad times will end. It is really up to you whether you want to stay at the trough or to build new resources of thinking and strategies to ride your own recovery and boom. My suggestion is that you commit to attend a life changing programme like the Patterns of Excellence (I don’t mean to sound like a salesman, but I truly have seen how this program has created breakthroughs for people from all ages and walks of life) where you will learn tools like NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) that will show you how to take charge of your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and life and to make your future the way you want
adam, I have participate one of IAGJ camp. But when I read ‘I Am Gifted, So Are You’ book, I think it’s a bit different with all knowledge that you teach us in the camp. In this book, there are only 9 steps of study formula. But you thought us there are 10 steps. Or maybe the bahasa version is a bit different? Pls answer.. thx before adam.
It’s the same thing. Just follow what you learnt in the camp. It is more detailed
oh okay. thanks for your info adam.
Hi Adam, I have a young boy 8 years old, who does like to study nor do his school home work, basically he is a intelligent boy… but lazy… I just dont know what to do. I wanted to send him to your course, but I can afford it… as I have financial problem… i sincerely hope that some one could help. Millions thanks in advance
sorry it should dont like to study nor do his school work… how could I motivate him… I am very stress out… as I am struggler on my daily need on top of take of him… you respond, is deeply appreciate. thanks
Many children are facing the same problem as your child. Intelligent, lots of potential but ‘lazy to study’ There are a few reasons that contribute to this. 1) He has no role models to inspire him to want to become successful, 2) He has no clear goals for the future so there is no purpose to study, 3) He finds studying boring or difficult because he is not learning in a fun way or 4) he lacks the self confidence and belief that he can do well, so after a while, he gives up ‘trying’. You have to talk to him and diagnose the problem and work with him to find the necessary solutions to the causes I have stated. best of luck
Thanks Mr. Khoo, u are right, he has no role model because he is the only child, he face me- a 50 old lady single mother, everyday strugler to find money to pay housing installment… and he find study is boring/difficult, simple Question, he will just I dont know, and refuse to think. School teacher complaint.. he has no confident either, he keep on saying I can’t even before start, worse he does not listen to what I said… 6 weeks school holiday i had been screming at him.. I guest he got emotion problem also… in sometime…i myself I coupe with him together with my own work, which is irregular income.. b4 month end..I start worry…. Pte number, I start worry, who is the caller.. HDB or credit card.. I cant live on like this, but what should I do?
Adam, I have finished almost all steps in the 36 hour action plan. But I haven’t finished 1 step. To make the monthly planner, because I don’t have exam schedule yet. What should I do, because I still only have 23 and half hour to go, and tomorrow is my first day of school, so I can’t use internet in the morning. Please answer. Thanks Adam.
Its ok. Wait until you have the exam schedule and you can do it the. I give you more time
Happy 2010 Adam! Greetings from Vancouver.
I’ve read and enjoyed both your books “Secrets of Millionaire Investors” and “Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires.” I have a goal in place and I’m going to make it happen.
I’m just starting out, and so I’d love to be able to talk to someone who has already attained financial freedom. Do you have any contacts in my area who’d be willing to mentor a fellow just starting his journey? or are there any investment clubs in my area that follow your investment strategies?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Alex
Hi Alex, sorry but I don’t know much about such community in Vancouver. However, I am sure there are. Scout around and you may even want to start one yourself

Hey Adam,
I was,a 14-year-old student, just like everyone out there day dreaming and with many bad habits. With all my bad habits and I mixed around with those playful friends, I dropped from the first class to the average class. This made me feel so bad and I’m disappointed to myself until I hate myself so much.In a week time,i didn’t feel bad at all and i started to plan for my study during the 7 weeks school holiday. But at last,I end up sitting in front of the computer playing video games. My attitude doesn’t change at all.
But a week before the school re-opens,i found your book ‘The Secrets of Successful Teens’ in the Best Recommended in the Popular Bookstore. The title interested me and something so lucky for me was my mom knew you.My mom said, Adam Khoo is a great motivater and she always saw some articles of yours in The Star newspaper. So i grab a copy and i finished the whole book in 3 days.(I’ve broke my record.Haha.)From that moment, you inspired me a lot and i’ve set you as my role model. I’m so glad that i’ve bought your book and this really helps me lots.I’ve change my attitude in my studies and i used the method you teach and yet i’ve archieve 1 of my goals that is to pay attention in class. Then I’ve read I Am Gifted, So Are You! and i become highly motivated.I’ve change a lot since I read ‘Secrets of Successful Teens’2 months ago.You really inspired my lots and I’m going to set my goal to enter NUS for a double degree in Business and Communication or a degree in medicine. My dream since i was a small girl is to help as many people as i can.
Looking forward to hearing for you,
yivian.
Oh, i’ve gave my idea to used ‘Master Your Mind,Design Your Destiny’ as our class slogan and my classmates agreed with me.Sorry for using your book title.
best regards.
Hi Yivian. I’m really happy to hear how my books have helped you positively change your life. I believe you can definitely achieve the bog goals you have set for yourself.

Hi Adam,
I have also this spirit of being entrepreneur since when I was 8 yrs old.I was already selling some food stuffs with my classmates in order to save money for my daily allowance, instead of books my backpack was full of my selling goodies, fortunately I also managed my studies despite of my other hobbies.I think my passion & interest really belong in a business industry.I am enjoying meeting people then providing services & products that can satisfy their needs. The reason also that I want to go abroad is to be expose, learn things & can save more financial resources that can help realize my future plan.I really want to have my own food service industry.
I am 27 yrs.old with a 2 yrs.working experience as food attendant in one of the hotels in Boracay Island,Philippines. And I can say that I had a great experienced there,it gave me a chance to know my self better and become a more mature person. At first it was not that easy for me to leaved my job but still I decided to consider for a long term plan.I already resigned from my work last 2007 with a reason to look for job opportunities abroad. In order to expose my self in this fast changing world especially in my chosen field which is hospitality industry.I really want to grow more,to learn more things that help me become a better person. Before leaving my job there I tried to way everything and I also make an outline,a sort of guide for my next plan.I thought everything will go spontaneously because I don’t waste any of my time,I am really eager & motivated for finding a great opportunities. But the situations didn’t really cooperate with all my plans.I didn’t pursue with some my my applications although I was qualified because it requires a big amount as placement fee & processing fee,it was not quite practical & then there were some that it was being hold due to the financial economic crisis that most of the countries was affected last year,There were some also that I was not qualified due to height requirement.Last year my mother was also undergone her second operation in uterus before it was her pancreas. As a second sibling & still single,I did everything I could for my family. My personal plans was set a side for the meantime. And lately last week my father was confined in the hospital due to pneumonia, but his already discharged last few days, saturday.
I can’t really deny this feelings of disappointments. Is there any wrong with my decisions for leaving my job in Boracay?.I felt I was deprived by great opportunities.I also felt alone in this situation. That’s why I was wondering why is it that it was just easy for other people to get what they want in life even though they were just easy go lucky, many opportunities came in to their way to help them.I can’t explain but I have still this feeling deep in my heart that I could be there soon…Thank’s for some situations that came along like this.I accidentally read an article in one of the leading newspaper here in the Philippines “Manila Bulletin” the article entitled ‘In Pursuit Of Happiness. And in this article it was being mentioned about ASEAN Entrepreneur best selling author and peak performance trainer,Singaporean Adam Khoo.It gave some of your inspirational thoughts that can help boost the spirit of those persons that experiencing of loosing hope in life.
After then I tried to search on internet about your life.I was really thankful because I have known you along my way.It gives me another hope
If only I could have a chance to attend in one of your lectures & trainings there in Singapore. It will be my greatest experience then, and to meet you in person.
You know Adam I was tried to apply also in agencies here for job there in singapore but unfortunately I was disqualified in my height, mostly they prefered 5’4” for females as hotel staffs hehehe I was just 5’2”.For me Singapore is the most ideal working place because it was progressive country with most discipline citizens under with rules & regulations, lots of tourist spots,it is also just 4 hrs.from Philippines
have a good day! hope to hear from your response
Again thank you so much Adam

Thank you for sharing your experiences and dreams. I believe with enough determination to make it to Singapore, you will be here to work and meet me in the near future
Adam, there are 3 ways to deal with failure right? the third way is “take action, learn from experience, and change strategy until succeed.” Success is moving towards to your goal everyday. Sometimes we move towards to our goal step by step, but it takes really long time. What should I do? Change my strategy and search for a better strategy that only need a shorter time to reach the goal, or keep using the old strategy? Pls answer.
Of course you would want to use the most effective and efficient strategy
Yeah, but to search the effective and efficient strategy, sometimes we will `faiL`.
Hi Adam,
Understand that AKLT is under Dr Bandler’s list as a recognised NLP institute.
1)Does AKLT conduct NLP courses?
2) Is the POE recognised by the Society of NLP?
Thank you.
Hai,Adam.
I’m as a primary school teacher.I’m keen interest about to be a great motivator like you.Since involving in this field, I’m very confident with my potential that I can be the great motivator.I just wanna to know how to be a full time motivator? POE is not an NLP certification program. It is a personal excellence and self transformation program with its methodologies on NLP
dear adam my best idol , i am glen . i want to learn to be rich. i want to be like you .you rock .
adam, what do you think I should say, when my friend say “hey, you’re very smart!”. Should I say “thank you” or “no lah… I’m not that smart actually. Just lucky”. Some of my friends said if I say thanks, it means I’m cocky. But if I say that I’m not smart, just lucky, it will effect my belief and my mindset
There is nothing wrong with saying, ‘thank you’ to a compliment

Hi adam, I had bought your book “Bagaimana Saya Boleh Menjadi Jutawan”. I really like this books because have a lot of information. I had download the stock intrinsic excel but do not know how to find Discount Rate for BSKL. thanks
sure
Dear Adam,
First of all, I was very excited with your book from beginning pages. I’ve started to practice mind-map to create some ideas for children. Actually it was a crazy idea, but I want to try.
Please let me talk about my project. The project are under supported of World Vision Org and it is helping more than 500 children living in extreme difficult circumstance. They are poor, orphaned, with parents committed to crime or disability.
I have an idea to invite you come to Hai Phong city, Vietnam to talk with them about dream, belief and success. It will be a most incredible chance they ever never have in their life.
If we have a little chance, please let us know. The talk will be held in July in the comprehensive event for children. The event includes art performance, open discussion, gallery, game and conversation with well-known people.
The objective of event is to give children a opportunity to practice life skills, strengthen relationship and belief to overcome their difficulties circumstance.
Please respond to my email: nguyen_chi_hung@wvi.org
Thanks and best regards,
Hi Adam,
I am graduating from Master in Science degree but I realised it is seriously not my cup of tea.
I have always been interested in being a motivational coach and I get energised by talking to people and motivating them.
1) May I know what are the certificates/courses that I would need to have to be a motivational coach?
2) Is there any vacancy at your company for such a position at this point of time?
I am open to explore any job opportunities related to this field.
Thanks.
Hello Mr.Adam, I am Form 5. I just want to know how to be confident always?
the key to be confident is to be prepared at all times
To be a trainer/coach in any area, you have to first have a successful proven track record. For example, if you want to train students to be top students, you have to first be an ‘A’ student. If you want to train salespeople, you have to first be a top salesperson in a company. Sorry, but right now, we are not looking for any more trainers
hi. i’m an 9 grade. i already learned NLP from many psychological webs site and books 1 year ago. then i found your book, but still i can’t figure out how to deal with overprotective. what’s the best thing to do with that?
hi
goog morning !!.
my name is elsinta renata .
Hi mr Adam
my name is Lan Anh
I have a question
What did you feel when you are successful?
Hello Mr.Adam
I just wish I could be like you,and I want my friends respect me
adam, what is your age when you reached the financial freedom, and if you have reached it, why do you still working?
I was financially free at age 30 and since then, I have been working because I love what I do and it makes a positive difference in the lives of thousands
Hi Adam,
Attended the Wealth Academy program in Expo, it was wonderful, since then you have become my Hero.
I also bought your book “Secrets of Self Made Millionaires”. While reading this book I found that 2 sucessful person you have mentioned in your book should not be there because of their reputation as of today.
One is Tiger woods for obvious reason, and another is “Vikas Goel of eSYS” , he is under legal dispute with Singapore GOvt, see the below article –http://marklupin.wordpress.com/2009/04/22/vikas-goel-assets-frozen-by-singapore-court-news-from-singapore/
May be you can remove their names in your next re-print of the book.
Dear Mr. Adam Khoo,
My name is Hang, from Hanoi, Vietnam. I am really impressed by your book “I am gifted, so you are” and eager to send my daughter (15 years old) and my son (8 years old) to the training course that, as I know, is available in Vietnam (through a company – sorry I forgot the name). However, I realized that each class will train 120 children at the same time. Further more, the course lasts for only 3 days (while the original course is for 5 days). I think with too many participants and such a shorter time, the training may not reach required quality.
Kindly give me your advice.
In case I want to send my children to Singapore to attend the class (they can communicate in English quite well), could you please give me some information that enable it to happen.
I am looking forward to hearing from you
Thank you so much
Hang
I will get my staff to contact and help u
Dear Mr. Adam Khoo,
I turned 25 this year; I have been giving private tuition since uni days and; I even found myself a job as a full time private tutor upon graduation. As I graduated from a private uni (SIM), my parents suggested that I took up a postgrad course to upgrade myself. Since I graduated with a bachelor of business in finance, I decided to take ACCA, however I failed the exams after the first attempt (that was the 2nd yr with ACCA); and knowing that I will not be doing acc in future, I told my parents that I am dropping ACCA. Hence, they requested for me to return to Thailand where we have our family business and help out as they thought that being a private tutor is not a stable job unless I can find myself in MOE. I have been applying to MOE for many times since my last semester in SIM but there was no response at all, I thought I may have a fresh start if I leave Sg, so I went over to Thailand, and today is the 8th month I’m here. I thought a lot when I’m here and I realised that I will want to set up a private tuition business at home and providing education to the kids since I cannot get a job with MOE and; I did try to apply to international schools and tuition centres but there was no news too. I so wanted to convince my parents to let me return to Sg and start planning my small private tuition business, however my mother kept insisting that I have already wasted 2 years after my graduation by taking ACCA and then dropping it, and with no proper job but private tutoring. I am really lost as I do not know how to ask for my mother’s forgiveness and convince her that I will work much harder towards my goal (I am much clear of what I’m going to do for my future), I do not know how to make her believe that it was through the 2 yrs of full time private tuition then I decided that teaching will be my career, and since I cannot join MOE and be employed, I want to be self employed and manage my own business.
I will be grateful if you are able to email me and provide me with your advice.
Thank you!
If you want to be successful, do what you love. Your mum means well but you cannot live your life for her. If what you want is to start your own tuition business, then go for it! Not getting a job could be a blessing in disguise as working for yourself can give you alot more money and freedom in the long run
I will understand. Thank you! =)
Hi Adam, I want to clarify with you if I am attending your Pattern of Excellence program this july, can i still attend the I Am Gifted, So Are You program? Because I am actually 19 this year and I really want to make a difference in my life from now. Thank You.
Yes, definitely
Hi Adam, if that’s the case, can i know when are the dates for I Am Gifted, So Are You program for the rest of the year 2010? Thank you very much!
The upcoming camps will be in Late November and early december. I will get my staff to send you the dates.
Thank you very much! Actually I am about to go Australia in july for my university as I couldn’t get into local University. How disappointing.Haha. But I really want to make a change in my life and decide to delay my university admission to next year so that I could attend both your POE and I Am Gifted programme. Do you think I make the right decision?
yes, I will see you soon!
Yes! I will see you too! Thank you!
Mr. Adam, ‘ur camp is terrific!
anyway, thx for giving me chance to speak in front of all the parents on the graduation…
it means a whole world for me^^
hope we can meet again someday
Theodore, IAG graduate 2010

What is the difference between Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires,Patterns Of Excellence and Paving The Way To The Top audio tapes?
Hi Adam, after I have attended the Pattern of Excellence & I Am Gifted So Are You programme, how can I be able to become an assistant trainer? I really admire you a lot and I want to learn everything from you and train other people as well. I want others to empower their lives too!
Hi Adam,
i attended your “I am Gifted, so are you” workshop 8 years ago. Today im 22 and am currently pursuing a degree in a top local university but i have no intention of going into the course’s field for my career. The only reason i am “wasting my time” studying and not going all out to pursue my lifelong ambition is because my parents strongly emphasize i get a degree since i can, and of course as a future backup for myself. Ever since i was 10, all that i wanted was to be a professional footballer. I’ve been playing competitive local football for clubs but i realise it won’t get me anywhere near my dreams if i continue staying here. It is not as if i am in the national team or one of the best players here but i strongly feel that for me to make a huge breakthrough i have to mix with the real professionals, to live, breath, eat, drink, sleep football like them. I want to go overseas and knock on every single football club’s doors and fight for my dreams. Would it be wise to just stop my studies and go overseas to pursue my dreams? I really cannot withstand the feeling of being held back anymore, held back by obligations to fulfill. I can get a degree anytime but for this lifelong dream i feel it’s now or never. I feel torn apart between this obligation and the intense desire achieve my dream. Never mind what many people would tell me, it’s impossible, i should just be a realistic Singaporean, i cannot make it or survive on football. I’m not sure if anyone can understand how much and dead badly i want this
hi adam, i’v got a son who’s 13 years of age n there’s communication barrier between us, bad results, bad attitude, not respectful, very rude to me etc…would like him to attend workshops tt will help improve on these issues. please advice thank you.
The ‘ I Am Gifted’ Junior programe for teens is specially designed to empower young teens like to develop a positive mindset, good values (like responsibility, respect), effective study skills and to develop good relationships with their parents. I will get my staff to give you more details on this
Sorry for this late reply. Its good to hear from you after 8 years. I always believe that you should pursue your dreams and do what you love. That is the recipe for being the best in your field and achieving success.
I can understand your parents concern though. Only the top 1% of sportspeople can make a successful and a good living. And the fact that you start off late and are a Singaporean makes the probability much much lower. There is a 99% chance that you will struggle to survive to make a living as a footballer. Are you willing to take that risk? I’m sure you are old enough to make a decision
While you can take a degree anytime, it is only this one chance that you can enter and take your degree from a recognized and prestigious local university. Since you are already in U and into your first year, you may want to just take another 2 years and finish it off.
Quitting now and starting to play football may be a very high risk to return ratio. You must also ask what your passion in football is. Is it the competition you love? Is it that you love sports? Is it the fame?
When I was young, my dream was to be a Dj and a magician because I love wowing people and I loved the fame of being on stage. However, I realized that it would be very hard to make a living doing that…especially in Asia. So, today I have found another career that allows me to entertain, educate and inspire people as a success trainer and coach.
My two cents worth for you to think about.
Hi Adam, I am not really a fan of yours but just out of curiosity went to your website and read an article ‘The Greatest Rewards Are Reserved Only for Those Who Never Quit’.
I am not too sure if I should tell you that whatever you wrote in that article I have been following it (even years before I read this article) but in the last 16 months I have been unemployed and am still waiting for that ‘It’s always the darkest before dawn’!
I have applied for fifty thousand jobs and managed to secure only 6 interviews and I still have not had a job offer yet!
to Dream,
Normally,a sportsman can be productive in the field at their young age (20 to 35 years old). how many years do you have before reaching 35years old? can you turn your dream to reality within these years? what are the percentage of turning your dream to reality? can you list down what are the ways, within your reach, that is possible on realizing your dream?
exactly how much are you willing to scarify for your dream? does realizing your dream is more important than what you have now? (you life, family and friends)
i am not sure will i question will be posted here.
but, i hope you can weight it yourself.
regard,
edward
hi Adam, with due respect, i really enjoyed very much your talks, presentation and continue to believe you strive to do the best for people. Just happened to see a note at your akltg website, under careers for freelance coach, there is a cap of 18-35 years old as a guideline…was puzzled that if in singapore, we are already raising the retirement age, does older means to describe less in terms of value provision to help empower others’ lives?
hope you consider this factor.
We actually take in coaches of all ages. We have had ex-teachers aged over 50+ coaching for our kids programmes. The age guideline has been set by our coach manager I think because the coaching job can be quite hectic (17 hour day) with less than 4-5 hours sleep at night. Plus, we need people who are very much in touch with the education system. If there are coaches who can stand the long hours and can still relate very well to young children, understanding the school system very well, they are more than welcome to join us
While it is important to never give up, it is also important to get feedback and change our strategy. If we keep doing the same thing, we will keep getting the same results. You may want to consider changing the way you write your resume, the way you present at interviews. If life does not give you opportunities, create one for yourself. You can start your own business, become self employed. They are ways to do it WITHOUT any capital required. For e.g. joining the financial advisory industry, starting an Internet Business etc…There are many ways to make money, not just the traditional job. Hope this helps
I went to a talk from Adam Khoo when I was sec four in Fuchun Secondary School. I gave up life because it was 2 months after my mom passed away. after going to the talk which was almost 4years ago, my life change till today. I admit that my dream of achieving into Singapore polytechnic Landscape architecture course is all thanks to him. I followed every advice and till today, I continue doing my “life path” and goal settings. I wanna say thanks for saving my dream and teaching me to shape my destiny =)
I’m absolutely inspired!
Dear Adam,
Have heard much about you through the years. Have read from your articals that you have started investing at a young age. My purpose here today is to seek your expertise in this area which i know nothing about. I would love to learn to trade forex. But am afraid of bogus schools here that has no commitment teachings. I really have no knowledge on forex trading at all. So it would be a blessing to have you advise me on this. I left my email address. Would realiy appreciate if you could shed some light to this here.
Regards,
Leon
Hi Adam, I am a fan and have been following you for quite a while. Reading your blog makes me wonder where did u manage to compact such practical yet inspiring idea and advice. One thing for sure, God will bless u and your family abundantly for u have blessed hundreds and thousands of people who are reading your blog and other inspirational achievements via internet.
I have a question. I am a 24 year old accountant and I must be a millionaire by 30. I now have $170,000 in cash and after calculating my networth for the next 10, 20 and 30 years from now, I will only be able to accumulate $500,000 by age 30 which is 1/2 from what i set out to achieve. I am frustrated because my line doesn’t allow me to be remunerated based on my effort! I asked my boss if i can get a 50% raise by doing double of my existing work and basically said “NO”! And as a result, I am not giving my best because there is not much point BUT i still have to be at the office 12hours a day simply because that’s the culture in the big 4 accounting firm. I am extremely frustrated because deep within i know I have so much more to give! I hate doing non-value adding work which can be done by anyone!!
So I would like to seek your advice as to what line I can pursue to achieve my goal. I am a hardworker, i am discipline and always seeking to improve myself. I am always willing to work harder than my peers especially if i am rewarded accordingly. BUT there is one thing about me that I have to work on. I am not that pretty hence I am taken aback by sales related job but I really would like to give it a shot because I think I will be good at it, know I will work my ass off, I know I will do whatever it takes to do extremely well! My motivation is also mainly my family. I am an indonesian and I am fortunate enough to study abroad since age 11 and have since become very independent BUT i am afraid to fail hence I have been taking the safest road and I HATE THE FACT THAT I AM SO AFRAID TO FAIL. When technically i know that if i dont try, I will never know and the most successful people are those who try the most and fail the most hence they also create alot of success along the way!! I know the theory but why is it that I am so afraid to start.
Please email me with some advice if you don’t mind, I understand from the various seminars that you are extremely busy but there are just so few people I admire and hopefully u will spare a few mins to give me some advice. At this time, I do not wanna reveal my identity yet because to be honest, I am embarrassed at my situation. I have been given the very best education money could buy but i am not living up to my potential!! Please help. I would like to thank you for the generous motivation and advice you have provided thru ur blog, I am one of those people who are blessed enough to come across your blog. God bless you and your family.

Hi Mr Adam Can you suggest I found a bit of business can bring high income ?
Dear Adam,
I live in Adelaide, Australia. I have however bought your last two books. Your previous one was perfectly timed !. I like your use of a combination of fundamentals and technicals. I am trying to download your DCF calculator, is that still downloadable somewhere ?.
Thanks in advance
I will my staff to contact you and see how we can help
Dear Jamie
I’s okay to be afraid to fail. Everyone has this fear. The important thing is to let this fear drive you forward to do your best and not to paralyze you. I always tell myself that the greatest failure in life is to look back on your life when you are old and REGRET that you have not gone for your dreams.
You are right that the only way to earn a high income and be paid what you are worth is to either start your own business or be in a career where you are paid by sales commission. Since your background is in accounting, the most appropriate would be to sell financial products/services either via a bank or insurance company.
You do not have to be good looking to succeed in sales. That is a limiting belief. I know many people who are not physically attractive but are great at sales and people love them because they show genuine care and concern for others and have a beautiful personality.
Hi Adam, wish you good day
Everybody should be learning your stuff!
I really appreciate the posts I get from my subscription to your blogs. And the last one I received, “http://www.adam-khoo.com/508/want-to-conquer-the-fear-of-failure-define-it-differently/” is very awesome any and that makes a difference.
Thanks
