Congratulations! Superkid Dayna Becomes An Author At Age 11!

Wow! I was blown away when I was handed a book written by one of my students (from my superkids Program) Dayna Tan. At the age of 10, she was inspired to write a book called ‘I read 320 Books at Age 9, So Can You!’

She took ACTION and started writing for 10 whole months. This, in addition to juggling a hectic Primary 5 study schedule as well as a heavy CCA schedule, mind you! A few weeks ago, she approached me to write the foreword to the book and I was more than honored to do so.

Dayna and Adam Khoo

I think there is a lot we can all learn from this young lady. Everything is possible! Just follow your heart and your dreams and don’t ever let anyone or anything tell you what can or cannot be done!

So, for those of you who saying that you are too young to write a book, THINK AGAIN!!!! Stop with the excuses and limiting beliefs and just MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Dayna’s book will be hitting the bookstores really soon so look out for your chance to purchase this unique achievement! You can check out her website at www.daynatan.com

    Hi Adam,

I am impression that a 11 year old girl is so daring to take a big step. I believe with this mindset, she will go far in life, as she is willing to try and not afraid of failures. I have signed up for your Wealth Acadmey in Apr. I am also inspired by you to have a millionaire mindset.

Therefore I am writing a book that will tell people money is not everything, but character is. I need some advise from you on how to write a good book, what are the procedures and what is the capital.

I believe I should be daring like the girl who’s so daring to take a big step. Thank you, Adam for inspiring me.

    Hi Adam

Wow! I’m amazed!! Yes I 100% agree with you as long as we follow our heart and our dreams and DON’T EVER let anyone or anything tell us what can or cannot be done, we WILL succeed… Many a times people fail is because of external factors - they NEVER give their dreams a chance…

Its really inspiring to read about the story of Dayna… Thanks!

    Cheers!

    Amazing. Inspiring.

In fact, the reading of 320 books at the age of nine is already a great achievement (regardless of topic), let alone the authorship of a book. How many children read 50 (let alone 100 or 320) books by nine? It simply shows that there is so much potential in every person—and I feel so proud of her achievement at such a young age. It also saddens me when I think of how much hidden and untapped potential there is within the youths these days.

To Dayna: Congratulations! You are going to be one of the leaders/leading authorities in whatever you do in the future, if you keep this attitude of lifelong learning/growth and taking (the correct) action up. I look forward to your book!

And to Adam: Congratulations to you too—your work in the youths, or our future leaders have begun to bear fruit! Who knows, your next student might read 640 books by nine, or make 10 million by 26. Cheers!

    Hello Adam,

I came across your email and was very inspired by this story. Dayna has indeed given all of us a wake-up call. Many people thought about writing a book all their lives but stops there. Dayna took on this thought seed and manifested it.

You’re right in saying that the only thing that’s stopping us from what we want are our limiting beliefs. Yet, our education never teaches us how to overcome these limiting thoughts.

You mentioned that Dayna is your student but I’m not sure specifically in which course. Nevertheless, I want to congratulate you for stepping in to fill in the missing gap in the current educational system which focuses only on facts to a large extent.

The things taught in schools and colleges are not an education, but the means of education.

Can i read the book online?

  9. jojo on April 16th, 2007

wow… cool. i’m impressed indeed, to think that some adults can’t even be compared to a 11 yr old gal… seriously, we should be inspired and get going to realise our dreams too… i think she’ll be very successful in the future if she keep this dynamic thinking up… the impt thing was tat she took ACTION to live her dream, instead of juz dreaming about it… :)

wat’s the book about? can elaborate more? i’m really curious.

    Dear Adam,

Yes, I love this young kid´s that create from their inner wisdom. It is so very important to support this kind of creativity so the young ones are strength in their belive in them selves. Othervise they shut down the inner guidance and turn off connection to their soul and become mechanised instead and are drowend amogst the mass.

My grandchildren 11 and 7 year have been learnd to put up goals for their life. Goals for long term and middle term and short term and to write this down and to commit to succeed in thir life. Then we discuss their goal together and steps that are necessary to take and put this under the headline measure in their exercise book. Now they know that they have the power to decide their own future and now days life.

Next time we have our meeting we discuss what they belive of their goal and if they are satesfied with it for now or if they are redy to go further and put up higher goals. We look upon roadblock and I guide them through a process to delete whatever it is in this roadblock. May our kids grow big from within.

    Warm Regards

truly inspiring. a great limiting belief buster. a new leg of belief to support the table of belief that anyone can be a writer, an author.

Imagine this book title: “I can write a book at age 10, so can you!”

Go Dayna, keep up the spirit. Thanks Adam, for sharing the story to inspire even more people.

It is amazing for a 11 year old girl to become a author and anyone can do that if you have the right mindst. With the right mindset that make you put into action and your action will determine your life. This is the law of attraction.

holy cow! 320 books! i had also read that many books by the age of 10. mostly pictoral books, manga books. they were about 40-50 pages with 1-2 sentences per page. the difference with me is that this girl can write a book about reading books, while in my case at that age i was selling my dragonball collectibles at school. i am curious about the book and the girl. really mind boggling! just keep your skepticism in check guys! ;p
